Generic remote control for dvd player

Does anyone know if a cheap generic remote will work for a sony dvp-ns29 dvd player which we bought ages ago without a control. our psp2 remote used to work it but thats broke now so looking for cheapest option as the ordinary tv remote will work it to play dvds but not on things like x-files or csi where you need to go to different episodes.
