We have niggly little problems with our laptop. Have run Clary, Avast, Defender, Malwarebytes and Crap Cleaner but wondered if anyone can find anything else in this log.

Thank you in advance!!:D

    Oh I don't know - gremlins!

Sometimes when we start up we get a message saying our firewall (defender) is turned off, even though we haven't turned it off ourselves. When we go to it, it appears it is turned off and has to be turned back on.

Also at start up, a My Documents window opens up, despite neither of us ever having set it to.

Erm.....will think about any others. Some are so intermittent that its hard to remember them! Thanks closed.

mydocs problem may be related to this

    F2 - REG:system.ini: UserInit=C:\WINDOWS\system32\userinit.exe,userinit .exe,

open regedit, go to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon]

and post the contents of the userinit string, should be one c:\windows\system32\userinit.exe followed by a comma

    Id recommend as follows ~

    Please run COMBOFIX

    Shut down your anti virus
Follow the simple instructions it gives
Post the COMPLETE log it creates here (Split into sections if need be)

If it comes up with a RENAMING error then RIGHT click the exe file and RENAME and call it QWERTY (Making the complete file name 'QWERTY.exe') Or SAVE as 'QWERTY' on download

Shameless bumping and a mention that although Combofix said it had deleted the Coupon printer programme, its back when I restarted the puter this evening.
