I've just gone over from outlook express to windows live mail, the problem I have is on one of my accounts when I click on the inbox, outbox etc. all the previous messages are there. (which is what I want) On my other account after importing all my e-mails they are now stored in an imported folder and so I have to open up the folder to read my previous e-mails.
How do I get all the messages to appear in the inbox, outbox etc?
I hope this makes sense!

You can setup multiple accounts in windows live mail and each one will have its own inbox and sent items folders etc.
You can then simply copy the messages from the imported folder to the inbox you want and then delete the imported folder.0 -
I knew there'd be some knowledgeable person out there! Next question .....Is there any way of moving them all at once instead of individually as I've got quite a lot I want to keep?0

Try pressing Ctrl+Enter simultaneously as you highlight one OR select the 1st and then press the Shift key+down arrow key simultaneously. There might even be a 'Select All' option?0

As with most lists in windows, select the first message then select the last one while holding down the shift key.
All file in between will be highlighted.0 -
Well I never knew that!!!! I spent ages last night moving them across one by one until I got fed up and called it a day. Now after following your advice I've done the rest in seconds!! Cheers Sparky47 you're a star!
By the way since you seem clued up on live mail, is there an alternative to the "send/receive" button that was in outlook express whereas you could instantly check for any incoming e-mails if you might be expecting some?0 -
