:hello:
Ok, when I got my first mortgage, I was led to believe that one of the conditions of the mortgage was that I have both life assurance and PPI.
I cancelled the life assurance some time ago, so don't worry about that.
I got a letter today informing me of changes to my PPI. I didn't know I was still paying it.
However, this is not the company I originally had the PPI with. I started with Legal & General. I got the first 6 months free, then the first payment went out 15 Dec 2003. So I first paid just less than 6 years ago, but took out the policy 6 months before that.
Then in September 2005 I changed from Legal & General to Pinnacle. I assume that, since I joined this site in August 2005, I would have been having a general review of my finances. I was still acting in the belief that it was a requirement of my mortgage agreement that I have PPI.
What can I claim, and who from? I suspect I might have trouble claiming the PPI from Pinnacle was mis-sold, since I sourced it myself looking for a cheaper quote. However, I was still working from the advice given when I was mis-sold the Legal & General PPI.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Cheers,
MBE

If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.
