Save £250 000 for 3 months

I need some help. We sold our house and have £250 000 to save until we found another house.

Any suggestions for the best interest rate short term savings account?

Thanks

Hi there, I've got an ICICI HiSave account which is 5/15 APR (gross) at the moment, and I think is, or was the highest "instant access" account available. Not sure on the limits of what you can pay in, but worth a look!

Beware 'sellparttime' - there is another thread implying that you might have difficulty in withdrawing such a large sum from ICICI in a hurry - so check carefully.

ICICI HiSave has a withdrawal limit of £10k and only do 4 of there a day then you need to wait another 4 days before you can request another £10k.

There is a thread on the board about withdrawal limits here which suggests you can request CHAPS transfer but there not obliged to provide it to you.

For no hassle quick and easy no limits use ING, by the time you have trawled the rest Birm/Midshires etc your short term will be up.
