TV Screen

I've just enjoyed a nights music played on CDs thro' my DVD player onto my oldish dolby pro logic TV. Great sound, better still using HiFi speakers on the side instead of the inbuilt ones.
Can I do anything about the bright blue screen on the TV? Do newer DVD's show something else, or is it the old TV? It's a little too bright for me.
Nice to save.

Some show a kind of large 'DVD Player' logo on the TV screen.

But what about taking the audio output from the DVD to a HiFi system or amplifier to the 'separate' speakers you already have, and turning off the TV. I used to run my TV/VCR/Sky and DVD through the HiFi before getting 'proper' surround sound.

    Any use to you? ???

Or you could turn the brightness and contrast of your screen right down.
