Help please - Additions terrible service.

Im not sure where to put this but i hope that somebody can help me.

Over 4 weeks ago my boyfriend placed an order with additions direct for a wardrobe. the delivery date was for 2 weeks later on the Wednesday. He booked the wednesday and thursday off work to recieve thsi and get it completely put up and to clean the carpets in the house.

On the wednesday of the delivery he recieved a phone call at about 1pm to say that the truck had broke down and it wasnt arriving. After ages on the phone and an email complaining nobody had got back to him so he rang again. There was no reply other than that they cant help its to do with the depot.

On the Friday morning he got a phone call to say that the delivery was 10 mins away. Luckily he was in work late. It arrived in 3 packages and 2 of them were a mess. All the corners was damaged and the faces to the drawers were damaged.

He rang again to complain a number of times.

Over the past 2 weeks he has had to ring nearly every day to see when it is going to be delivered to recieve a phone call today to say its going to be Wednesday. Too short notice for him for work so he's asked for a saturday delivery. They are refusing because they only have 1 man on the trucks on a saturday. So he still is without a wardrobe and we have no idea when it is to be delivered.

I am not sure of his rights in this matter. Has he got a right to claim compensation? He's been living out of bags for the past 4 weeks because we skipped his old wardrobe in preparation for this one and he has wasted 2 days holiday for work doing nothing for this.

Can anybody help please?
