If any kind soul has a spare £5 fragrance voucher going spare, I am on the scrounge?

I was after some aftershave anyway but then saw this post about the vouchers. I don't shop at Boots normally so don't have any to swap though....

    Thanks

Try the Perfume Shop first! you can usually get a better deal than boots, and the boots voucher is only off certain brands.

You got 200 points on Trevor Sorbie from the AC Machine.

Sorry for being dumb but can you explain how this works ... i have a card but never go near the machine :-(

The machines give out vouchers for different products - stick your card in and see what it offers you! It normally gives you extra points for buying particular products, or money off coupons. Go through the list, print out the ones you want (there's a button on the touch screen that allows you to do this) and hand them to the SA when you pay in order to get the points. I've used the coupons loads to boost my points balance, I'd definitely recommend having a look if you've got a machine nearby.:T :T :T

If you go to the Perfume Shop first, get your price ( which is usually a little cheaper than Boots) then go the John Lewis they will normally price match in their perfume dept (you have to ask to be sure) and if you are cheeky enough you can ask for any free samples that are going. I did this with Chanel Allure and got a lovely little carrier bag with all sorts of Chanel sample goodies. I know this is off topic but I hope it helps.

    Sorry - this is a bit of a winge:mad:
I've ordered a whole load of stuff off website that was meant to come yesterday and still hasn't appeared. That wouldn't be such an issue if I wasn't going into hospital for a section on monday and the order was full of stuff I need to take with me. So I went to local Boots today to buy replacements and the advantage card machine was not working AGAIN - I'm probably being paranoid but its nearly always boken and I'm starting to think its a ploy. I had to spend about £40 and got 147 points back - sacrilige!!!!
Anyway, do you think it will be OK to take replacements back to store once the parcel eventually arrives and I can get out to drive (at least 6 weeks away) Is there a time limit or do you think its a good enough excuse:confused:

I think there might be a 28 day time limit on returning stuff, but am not 100% sure. You'd think that with your reasons they would make an exception, though!

Could try phoning them and complaining about the inconvenience, they might be nice and give you loads of extra points to say sorry? :o

Anyway, good luck for Monday! :)

I got vouchers today for free pack of effervescent echinacea tablets (£6.50ish I think if I read the shelf label right) if you bought any boots brand cold remedy. Unfortunately they didn't have any of the freebie in stock!!!. I also got a voucher for a free 50g tub of Sanctuary body mousse worht £2.50.
I will be going in again on tuesday to see if I get the same offers. The last time I got vouchers for free products I got 3 lots of wet wipes (on 3 different days over approx 2 weeks). Perfect for taking on holiday.

Their number is on the first page of this thread as well ;) (Post no2, I think)

Not sure if they're open tomorrow... You could try emailing them instead but they're not great at answering emails AFAIK. :o

PS What are you doing here this time of night, go and get some sleep while you still can! :D
