My wedding photos are starting to grow on me.I have looked through them about 10 times now and each time I see more I kind off like and I think the initial shock has worn off.My Hubby likes them well enough as snaps and says there are enough good ones and my mum likes the shots of her and says some of the ones of my girls are actually really good.So although I was very dissapointed initially, and I still have not plucked up the courage to show them to anyone else because I know I look a bit odd grinning like a maniac in most of them,I am getting happier just to have the memories captured despite them not being quite what I hoped for.
Everyone who has seen them agrees that the best shots are of the dogs.
The outdoor shots have a good colour, the indoor shots are quite poor and dull in tone but I can edit them on my own laptop and increase the warm tones a bit on them.
We have also arranged a couple portrait for our first anniversary with the photographer I now wish I had splashed out on for the actual wedding day.

  • Ever thought of asking another photographer (or someone on here) to see if they can bring more life into the photos?
  • I was also really dissapointed with our photographer. He was a pro (apparently) and a family friend so when he offered to do our photos as his gift to us we jumped at the chance! We had budgeted about £700 for a photographer and that saving was brilliant for us as we managed to get a nicer wedding cake.

He used a Bronica ERTs and a Pentax 67. Well, not only did both his cameras have light leak, the pictures were all BAD! There's not one picture I like, and we only ended up with an album of 20 pictures, all of which were family/group shots. There was a lovely park nearby but as it was raining we waited until it stopped before we went out, spent an hour away from our guests taking about 30 rolls of film and none of them are in the album!

When we asked him he said that the cameras had light leak so they all looked bad.

If there was one thing I'd change about my day it would be the photos. My sister got a pro in and her pictures are amazing.
