Surround sound speakers buzzing

My surround sound speakers have started buzzing which is really annoying, can anybody tell me why this happens?

they are attached by speaker wires wrapped round each other!

Thanks

ALL of them? Or just certain ones? What do you mean by wires wrapped around each other?
My initial thought is that somethings been 'moved' recently. Check all the connections are in tightly etc

Yes i have 6 speakers inc the buffer plugged in, they are speaker wires bent round the main wire plugged into my tv box, 2 red & 2 black sockets.

Im sorry but your terminology is baffling me a bit. Buffer? You mean subwoofer? (For bass)

And how can 6 speakers go into 4 sockets?

Haha, yeah subwoofer! dont know why i said buffer....im trying to explain it the best i can :D
The wires are twisted round each other thats why i can put them into 4 sockets! hope that makes it clearer!

You may have the polarity reversed on some of the connections.

Are the speakers all wired together then? Whats the make and model of your surround sound/home cinema amplifier?

Yes, the wires are just plugged into my tech wood tv box, they are a few years old now! we never had an amp.

So, your speakers are connected DIRECTLY to your tv? And you have 6 of them?

If this is correct then im amazed it even worked
and if it is correct id guess youve damaged the tvs internal amplifier
