where do I put it ??

I've downloaded a new anti virus 'Anti vir' just wondering what I should do when it finds a virus or unwanted program what should happen to the file:

move to quarantine

Delete

Rename

Access deny

Ignore

These are the options that keep coming up & I've clicked on them & it's doesn't seem to be doing anything & as I'm technically thick I dont know what to do next. Any help much appreciated, thank you.

Move to quarantine first in case it's a false positive and you need to replace the file to it's original location. If it won't quarantine the file, chances are that it's pretty damn malicious in which case delete the pesky rascal. If it won't delete, post a HijackThis log!!
