Good cheap washing powder

I've almost finished my Tesco economy washing powder box, and I wonder if any of you could be so kind as to reccomend to me a different powder thats good but cheap. Bio or non-bio don't mind. I have never used non-bio but perhaps its time I did - my clothes seems to fade.

I always try and get a huge washing powder from Costco or Makro. They are normally around £10 + vat for a 100 wash and seem to last for ages.:hello:0

Morrisons 'Bettabuy' 3kg bio or non-bio = £1.49. Does the job!

Asda are doing boxes of tablets (48) at £2.97 each or 2 for £5.
But at the moment there are special packs with 33% free, so making it 64 tablets in a box = 128 tablets for £5 seems good value to me.
They wash ok as well.

Surf is one of the best products, and I usually buy the big bottles of liquid from Makro (£5.99 for 5 litres when they have special offers), as I find the liquid is easier to measure out, and I generally only use about 30 ml instead of the 40-50 ml they recommend (and I've got hard water too), so that works out at something like 160 washes from a bottle.0

We use washing liquid from Lidl - very cheap and good results. Their washing powder is also cheaper compared to other major supermarkets but we never tried them. Have tried Aldi as well and is also equally good.

Hubby does the shopping usually & he got some cheap stuff in morrisons, think it was about £2 & has about 30 washes & it is a bio powder called aquados. It is a dissolvable sachet & its great, leaves the clothes smelling nice & clean & the sachet bit actually does dissolve without leaving any residue. I definitely recommend it if you arent sensitive to washing powder.
Hope that helps

My mum uses powder from Aldi it has Good House Keeping Institute approval it is 3.54Kg for £2.89. You can get a colour one too that does not have GHI approval. But is the same price.

I was using Aldi as well but family had allergic reaction to it, it is good though. Also i think Surf is good too.

Thanks for your replies. The problem I think is that it makes it hard to compare costs because different powders will do different amounts of washes per box.
If I had the time i might research it all! But looking at it before I found that powder seems to do more washes per box than the liquids or tablets.0
