I can't disagree with you! I have sign above my desk that says:-
"Consultancy - If your not part of the solution theres good money to be made in prolonging the problem!"
At least you have a sense of humour unlike some! :rotfl:0 -
Thanks so much for the responses, BigBumpaGirl and Jonbvn. I would be very interested to see how you get on BBG. At what stage have you called New Build Inspections in as I'm not sure at what stage a new-build should be snagged.
There are some very useful links there Jonbvn which have kicked off a whole new series of questions! Thanks again.
I had my property snagged on Monday. This took just over an hour for a 2 bed maisonette. The inspector was clearly skilled and his checks were extremely thorough. I was dreading the outcome but was pleasantly surprised. There were defects, but all were minor and most of these were cosmetic to the finish of the property, the biggest discovery was a squeaky floorboard in the living room which had been caused by the fit of the carpet by the valve.
The report was really clear and I can pass it straight on to the site manager so the items can be fixed before exchange.
I feel that a weight has been lifted off my shoulders, after hearing so many horror stories on new builds it is nice to know that mine has been built well.
I would definitely recommend the company as the whole process was seamless.0 -
Correct. My sister has an 8 year old house. She has just found out the cavity wall has no insulation whatsoever.
Her house must be bl**dy freezing, and I dread to think about her gas bills. In case you hadn't already worked it out - the entire global financial system is predicated on the assumption that you're an idiot:cool:0 -
Thanks, BBG. That sounds like a really good service.0
