To be fair - (much as it pains me) ALL insurance companies are a business, not a charity, and they are going to avoid paying out if they possibly can. E&L are just very very very good at avoiding it.

after my experience with them, I wont touch them again - and I will actively advise people not to go with them if Im asked. Mind you - ALL insurance companies are as bad as each other at avoidance tactics, they all seem to go in waves as to who is the best at any one time.

really hope you get your money.

gree totally with E&L, but would like to add Pet Plan have been fntastic everytime. On one occasion I called to cancel a policy as my filly had died and I believed she was not covered, they aked for the circumstancs for their records. A few days later they called to tell me that they felt my filly WAS covere for her cause of death and sent me a cheque for her insured value. I was gobsmacked, because they could have more than eaily not paid me and I would never have quetioned it.

Every claim we've made has been swiftly and fully paid.

lol - you have been very lucky then - in my experience, as a customer of theirs and as a vets employee who deals with them regually, there are almost as many bad things with PP as there are any of the others.

Insurance is a complete minefield - just have to hope you never need to use it,whoever you go with !!!
