Hell all,
I have sent a letter requesting information regarding my loan from Halifax. I recieved a letter from the halifax toady stating that they cannot go any further because I did not include a cheque for £10. They have stated that they will supply the information once the cheque is recieved by them. On checking the article on reclaiming it states that they should only require a £1.00 payment. Is this a typo or are they trying to ask for too much? any ideas if there is a limit as advised by the information people??
Any help reallly appreciated.

Hi there Robin
For a SAR request where you require everything they hold on you, its that of £10 - this they have 40 days max to send you this request, and if you just required the Agreement, that is just a £1 postal order or cheque payment, this take about 12 days.
For more on a SAR check here:

Hope this helps and when posting, always use recorded delivery.
For the agreement only, there is a small template here somewhere, but many just write that they have enclosed the payment £1 postal order or cheque payment and you look forward to receiving this by 12 days.
Good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"

Hey di3004,
Thanks for that. I`ll send them a letter today stating that they only need £1.00 as it`s only the loan agreement details including ppi that I am requesting.
Cheers.

As its only a £1 I guess its not worth quibbling about , however , I have just received a copy of my personal loan agreement from Halifax relating back to 2002 & I did not send any money, it took them 3 weeks to reply.
Now I am going to request the PPI back, as at the time we were told we had to have it as it was a secured loan.
Regards
