Hi all, can anyone please point me in the direction of a very reasonably priced 10gig + mp3 player.
I am not a snob, so it does not have to have a flashy name (Ipod, etc) as long as its reliable, small and most importantly cheap, I will be very happy.
Many thanks in advance

The Rio Karma (20GB) can be had new for around the hundred mark these days. It's not too big, excellent sound quality and features, but I gotta confess, much as I like mine, it is pug ugly

get past it's looks and it's a solid machine (and I mean solid. mine's been bounced off a concrete floor a few times, and made it half way down the stairs all on its own)"If you really want to hurt your parents and you don't have nerve enough to be homosexual, the least you can do is go into the arts."0 -
thanks for the response, can you give me an overview as to how easy this player is to use, etc. Cheers in advance, Damaje0

I find it very easy to use.
you can search through alphabetically, by song name, by album title , or by artist. you can create playlists on the fly (within the player as you're using it rather than having to import them off your comp only), and the Rio Dj is awesome
plays tracks in order of popularity, your choice of how far back (a day, a week etc) it looks.
and it has a docking cradle, so once it's set up properly it's a case of dropping it into the cradle, bunging music on, and off you go

I cant recommend a Sony because they use their own file format. I have read reviews wherein the reviewer has stated that when a Sony plays an MP3 file, it is not as good a playback as their own file format.
Deliberate? Likely."See you on the Other Side"0
