My dear sweet OH is off out this week to book the honeymoon! Now call me a control freak if you like, but would you trust yours to do it and keep it a secret from you till after you were married? xx

Hi,
A marriage is based on 100% trust of each other, is it not?!?!?
If you dont trust your OH to do a simple task...why are you marrying them?!Profit=sanity
Turnover=vanity
Greed=inhumanity:dance:0 -
NO NO NO!!!
My idea of a relaxing honeymoon and my OH are very different, i think you need to decide together.
I wouldn't agree that booking a honeymoon is a simple task, putting the bin out is a simple task, not deciding where you are going for your first holiday as man and wife.
I will happily admit that I am a control freak though.0 -
My fianc!e is organising everything wedding day related I sort the Honeymoon.
3 Weeks in Thailand, mix of Big city/Spa resort/Jungle trekking/rafting/elephants/ and beaches. A good combination of activities to suit both our tastes.
The only surprise is the Biz class flights.
Have managed in my capacity as hopeless man to:
Book flights
Sort holiday jabs, (2 armfulls and a bumfull!)
Sort itinerary, and hire independent guides
Sort independent luxury transfers
Sort malaria tabs, and squitty tum tabs etc0 -
Ooh I'd love to have a surprise honeymoon. We went to Florida though, and I don't think he'd have booked that on his own, and we loved that so much we want to go back. But yeah, I'd let him do it. I'd drop him some ideas of places though, and what would be nice. He knows me well enough to not book a biking holiday in France (his ideal) but I'd prob hint a few places at him.0

How much is a one way ticket to the wonderful, idealistic Planet Fairytale that YOU live on??
(In this day and age - i think anyone who places "100% trust" in someone else is asking for trouble alongside being beautifully naive ....but thats just me, living on Planet Prudent i suppose....) :cool:Baldrick, does it have to be this way? Our valued friendship ending with me cutting you up into strips and telling the prince that you walked over a very sharp cattle grid in an extremely heavy hat?0 -
My honeymoon was meant to be a suprise... but I couldn't help myself.
I KNEW he wouldn't be moneysaving - so I had to "help"...
Either way... it's Coco Palm Bodu Hithi at Maldives... I think we will get over it!
No control freak? NO.

i guess i must live on planet fairytale, i do trust my partner 100%,if i didnt then i wouldnt be marrying them. and by doing so i do NOT think that i am asking for trouble, only getting to spend my life with someone who i love and trust wholeheartedly0 -
Having given him the one task of booking the car which he finally did a week before the wedding there was no way I would let him book the honeymoon.
If I had I wouldn't of had one!:cool:
