Worktop fitting order

Options
Am fitting my solid wood worktop myself, just wanted to confirm the order of installation.

1: All wood cut to required lengths and all cutouts (sink, hob, joining bolts) done.
2: All wood oiled and treated both sides.
3: All joints bolted together. Taps fitted.
4: Gas safe engineer connects gas hob.
5: Secure worktops to units.
6: Put sealant around edge of where belfast sink meets worktop.

Just not sure if worktop would need to be secure for hob fitting. Or is this completely wrong order?

Sounds right to me , i always brush on some pva on all cutouts and other cut areas just to make it`s that bit more water resistant

It`s hard to say without looking at the position of the gas outlet, but after you have bolted your worktops together i wouldn`t want any more disturbance to the joints so i would prefer to fix the worktops to your units next.

I am having trouble sourcing a hob, do you think it would be ok to oil that piece with the others and cut out hob at later date? Or should it be cut first then oiled?
