If you're thinking of scrapping it, what have you got to lose by trying to fix it yourself, another £30 for gaskets and a weekend of work.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,

One of my friends used Radweld on his K reg 405 diesel about a year ago. It's still going strong apart from no interior lights, no reverse lights, no electric windows, no central locking etc.The man without a signature.0

Mechanicals last for ever (on the old ones). Electrics last until you leave the showroom....
If you can get a tame mechanic to get some agreement, then it'd be worth it. I've found RadWeld to be a bit hit or miss, but I'm not sure how good it'd work on gaskets.Fight Crime : Shoot Back.

k-seal claims to tackle blown gaskits. its no doubt risky and perhaps just a bodge up remedy if even works at all. thing is, it'll only go scrap if i dont try so surely worth it. just wanted some feedback from users of the products. ty0

if its your last option then yes k seal does work, ive used it a few times, but you need to be aware that it could all go very wrong. follow the instructions exactly and it might give you a little more time out of it.
on the other hand rad weld is generally poor and its never sealed up any leaks....work permit granted!0 -
I used Barrs Leaks on a blown head gasket years ago and it worked a treat and carried on working for the 2 or 3 years I kept the car. Makes the coolant look very brown and dirty though.0
