Paypal Pro - any users out there that can offer advice?

I am considering using Paypal Pro as a step up from Paypal Standard (which often fails to accept a card) for an online business with a long standing Paypal trading history. This as an alternative to say, Sagepay (got into difficulty getting a HBOS Merchant Bank service set up - they are horribly slow in responding, probably the biz is too small to get serious attention).
Then I discovered that Paypal Pro (which does not need an acquiring merchant bank service) has this PCI compliance thing - and I do not believe it will be be easy do demonstrate compliance using my current shared hosting since I do not control the hosting computer.
Anyone out there got some experience they can share?

I have been enquiring with Amazon since I started up a sellers account in November why I haven't received any money despite selling 4 books. I finally got an answer today to say that I have been set up as a pro merchant!
that's not what I was after, 4 books sold only 10 listed (old uni books) 23.88 in debt to amazon.
is there anything I can do
open to any suggestions
