Free scratchcards. Please tell me if this is a rip off!

First thing, I'm not totally gullible. I suspect this is a scam of some kind, but I thought I'd check with you guys.
Free 'scratch card' fell out of my copy of Motorcycle News this week from 'WIN A MILLION. Four cards together. Usually I just throw these away but I thought I'd have a look anyway.
According to the cards I can claim a 'CASH PAYOUT' for having three matching symbols. The lowest is £10 and the highest is (allegedly) £1 million (Shea! Right!)
To claim I have to receive 6 texts at £1.50 each and any calls I make are at my operators normal rate. So that's £9.00 plus the texts I send. If they sent me £10 back, would I be THAT much out of pocket?
How does this work and does anyone know of any genuine winners from these cards?
Thanks

The texts you send will have a special rate charged - read the small print carefully and google the cost of texts to those numbers.0

Presumably you HAVE to make some calls. My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
I'd be wary that you might be unknowingly 'subscribing' to something......0
