This has annoyed me.
Am I right to feel annoyed and left wondering how it happend? The wrong number I can understand but the wrong house and the wrong street just seems so sloppy it's unbelievable.

I know exactly where you're coming from. We got a knock on the door today and there was a lady who had 6 letters addressed to both me and my wife that had been delivered to their house. They had been on holiday for a couple of weeks and got home last night so brought it round to us today. The thing is she lives on a street over the otherside of town, and the street name is nothing like the one we live on. She said that they'd had a couple of letters for us in the past but we were out when she came round so she just put them through the letter box.

It's annoying when random people in the street get my post but when its a random on the other side of town it's taking the ****.

Going to put a complaint in to the useless sods at Royal Mail to find out why this is happening and to try to get it stopped again.

If I messed up at work and sent a customers television or cooker to someone elses house more than once I would more than likely be sacked for being incompetent.

It is not only this, if a bill or cheque addressed to you is time limited then you can end up with a lot of hassle later.

This happens so much all up and down the country that they should be held accountable.

It is not your neighbours job to make sure you get your mail, but Royal Mail or whoever is delivering it.

There is a law stating that all parcels and correspondence belongs to the queen until it reaches its rightful destination, if they keep delivering it elsewhere surely they can be sued at the very least?

i had someone elses parcel posted to my house.

    again...different number and different address.

i tried to take it to the correct address several times but no one seems to live there. also there was no return address on the parcel.

luckily mother inlaw knew the family and passed it on.

but i shouldnt have to do royal mails job for them.

I have actually had bank letters delivered to my house that belong to others. It is very worrying.
