problem with waterstones online

has any one else had any issues with waterstones dispatch delays. i placed an order in august for 2 books, both were on pre-order, one was due to be released in september, the other on 5th november.

the september one was dispatched on time, but the november one hasnt yet, (now 29th november) on the main page the item listing states they have 10+ in stock and usually dispatched in 24 hours (and their site has advised this since the date it was published on 5th november).

i have been emailing waterstones for the past 2 weeks and its still not been dispatched, just get told they will send a message to the warehouse! trouble is if i cancel the remaining item and re-order will cost me more as the delivery charge will apply (as items under £10 charge for delivery, and as they chose to dispatch the 2 items seperatly, even though they are under £10 each they dont charge)

They have been having trouble ever since the new ordering system was put in... I was reading about this in the Private Eye, even employees are saying they wouldn't bother trying to order off the website this christmas.

They are very over priced and owned by HMV.

i phoned them up just and they have advised me that it will be best to cancel the order and re-order the book. they have cancelled it for me but no way am i re-ordering with them now!
