Dead Sky phone line - number still active

Hi, basically my parents phone line and broadband went off over the weekend but when you dial their number a man answers the phone claiming that its his number, gets angry (probably because other members of my family have been trying to contact my parents) and then hangs up! My parents have had the same number for over 20 years, and have always paid the bill on time.

They have contacted Sky by phone but were kept on hold for over half an hour, so hung up, so they have emailled them instead, but havent had a reply yet.

I just wondered if anyone had any idea what the problem could be.

Someone has connected the wrong lines either in the street cab or exchange.If they pay BT for their line rental,they need to phone them,if they pay Sky,then they have to call....Sky.
Sky's contact centers dont have E-Mail (well,the one I worked in,BBand Tier 2 & 3 did'nt) they all go to customer services so dont hold your breath on a reply.

Hi delilah666, do your parents pay their line rental to BT or direct to Sky?

Sorry for the delayed reply. They pay directly to Sky. We still havent heard anything back from them!
