where to download sound driver

hi does anyone know of any trusted website where i can download a sound driver from for my pc ?

    If you know the soundcard manufacturer try their site, also Microsoft tend to offer generic ones which may help.

    Did you not get a CD of drivers from the manufacturer? You normally do on windows machines

    Have you tried going to the Device Manager and updating the Driver from there?

    If you are really stuck, download , install and run CPU-Z. Next, go to the Advanced tab at the end and choose HTML Dump. Save the file to your desktop, upload it to a file sharing service such as MediaFire and post the link here.
    I'll see if I can locate the driver from that info.

  • Its been an hour since you asked for help and you still have not given any basic info about your PC manufacturer and model. Laptop's have a label on the under side, and desktop PC's maybe the front and rear panels. Have a look at the reciept for the machine.

    How did you use the CD you located, browse the CD and look for folders called drivers. The CD will not auto load any missing driver for you...
