Now can any of the techies help me to sort out why my XP will not system restore,

Sometimes malware can block system restore from running. Is is this type of problem you are trying to cure by running the restore.
Probably worth running a full scan with MalwareBytes and posting the result here.0 -
Exact error message? If it does not allow, try the restore in Safe Mode.0

I have deleted some pics by mistake so I ran recuva, no can find pics, I did try to system restore first and it wouldn't restore so If i could restore I would prob find pics!0

worked in safe mode and pics found, happy bunny! will post malwarebite log anyway0
