Unauthorised Continuous Payment Authority [CPA] and max credit limit ?

Can anyone help with this question about having unauthorised CPA's debits applied to one's Visa card without permission?
If for example, the maximum limit on one's Visa card is reached, can any further CPA debits still be applied to that card?
Would the Visa card company refuse to pay the unauthorised CPA debit [block the CPA], as the unauthorised debit would bring that credit card over and above the agreed credit limit?
Thank you in advance for your advice?

I like the way you are thinking
but unfortunately CPA debit will be applied to your card irrespective of the amount spent on your card - if it goes over limit, then you will also be hit by CC overlimit fees and interest. The only way to avoid this is to get in touch with company to cancel the CPA and provide another means of payment.
As a rule, by authorising CPA you have authorised payment forever until the company cancels it!!0 -
hi, I thank for your clear advice and have now decided I will have to pay off all my outstanding Visa card balance and terminate the Visa card entirely.I like the way you are thinking

I cannot think of anything other than termination of my Visa card so that TAN THIN will not be able to steal any more money from me.0 -
If you close the account, the company can still take money from the closed card and you can still be billed for it.0

CPA's are the biggest scam on Gods Earth. Who in the right mind came up with the idea of a company being able to charge against your card forever and theres nothing you can do to stop it.0

There is something you can do. Contact the company and get them to stop the recurring transaction.Norfolk_Jim wrote: »CPA's are the biggest scam on Gods Earth. ,,,totally agree, no wonder we have mega fraud/scams thriving with no power to the buyer and/or credit card customer! Surely, it's about time to have some new regulation on CPA's!Norfolk_Jim wrote: »CPA's are the biggest scam on Gods Earth.
