Landlord demanding money

My Girlfriend lived in an apartment that was owned by an ex partner. She had no written or verbal tenancy agreement other than agreed amount of rent.
The landlord recently started hassling her for sex because 'his wife was not interested'.
Girlfriend decided to leave the address and rented elsewhere, this time with full tenancy agreement.
her ex landlord is now demanding 2 months rent and cost of what he says was a deep clean, even though the premises was left clean, tidy and good decorative order.
Where does my girlfriend stand in this matter? and what rights have both parties got?

They did have a verbal tenancy agreement in that she occupied the property and he collected rent. Therefore all the usual rights and responsibilities apply - it would be one months notice not two. Unless there is a dual signed inventory then the ex-landlord is going to have a job proving any damage.

If she didn't sign an inventory, then she won't have to pay for the cleaning, as the LL can't prove the condition of the property when she moved in.

They had a verbal agreement, so she was required to give him 1 month notice, so she should pay him this, but at the same time she should also report him to the inland revenue.
