coloured glass chunks for gas fire?

My mum wantes to replace the coal pieces on her gas fire with chunks of coloured glass - the red/orange/yellow sort that you often find on old fashioned electric fires. The fire is never used, she just wants it for decorative purposes so doesn`t matter if it should not really be used on a gas fire.
The trouble is this glass stuff is so out of date no-one seems to sell it!
Any ideas where I could find some please?
