If its been like this since the houses were built it could well be that the deeds give your neighbour the right to use your gutter & soak away.
If this is the case then normally the deeds also say that it’s a joint expense when it needs repairing0 -
Thanks all for the additional info (if that's the right word! LOL!)
If we do do as in my previous post, it'll just be diverting some of the water onto the garden to stop the drainpipe overflowing & wrecking my window panes!
The re-routing to drains is a long term job - coz I guessed it'd need permissions etc.
Interesting about the Deeds - I'll dig ours out & see if it says anything.....
