Help problem with home phone

I have a problem with my home phone. I have 2 phones plugged in and also a BT Home hub. . If someone calls me, The phone rings and they can hear me but I cant hear anything. If I try to call out, I get a dialling tone but then just get silence. The home hub has a different tel number to the landline but can also be used to answer the house phone. This works if I call out on this but cant answer my home phone with this but the caller can hear me. Does anyone know if this could be the line or is there a problem with all 3 phones. Any ideas? Thanks

You say intially that you have two phones, and then at the end say you have three? Can you clarify? Are these corded or cordless phones?0

Hi, I have 2 cordless phones which have 1 telephone number and a BT Home Hub which has a different number but can also answer the home number. This one is working if you dial the home hub number or to call out.0

Where the phone line comes into your property is there a master socket like this?
Where is the base unit for the two cordless handsets plugged in? Is it plugged into the master socket?0 -
Hi, Phone just started working normally again after 3 days. Must have been a problem with the line which has now been fixed.Thanks for your help.0
