Does anyone have any info on the British Gas & Electricity Essentials Combined Tariff

Yep just says call freephone number which i am going to do monday morning.

Just wanted to know if anyone on here has any idea about it

Posted for someone else.

If someone has a combination of DLA/over 70 and an income of under £15000 they will be offered the lower tariff as well as other things.This threshold of £15000 includes ALL household income.

If someone is either on DLA or over 70 but has more income they will get other types of help irrespective of income but not the lower tariff.


If the income is under £15000 but no disabilities/over 70 they will also get other help but not the tariff.

If they do not qualify for the lower tariff and they have 2 PP meters supplied by BG they can go on the web and apply for payge click which can save up to £70 a year.

Other help available is cavity and loft insulation, VDU monitors, Standbye savers and referrals to our partnership charities.
