More invention and misquoting by a nasty, jealous man.

Please can you stop calling people jealous for pointing out the hard truth and portential dangers.

I'm not jealous, I have saved a massive deposit with a good paid job and I think your blind unresearched faith in property is mad.

I say go burn yourself if you can afford to risk £60,000. Personally I can see a lot better investments out there.

  • So you got lucky in the biggest house price bubble in history entirely down to chance timing and you think you are Donald Trump

Hello Granville, I'd be glad to hear the less stressful ways of making £60k work harder. I've got it all in e-bonds that are getting between 3 and 4pc. They all mature in February. So do tell :--)

    ....

Research, [STRIKE]bundly[/STRIKE] Helena, research. Seek and you shall find.

    Good luck.

Yes I think your comments are fair enough. But I am not a fool you know, I will check all this out. Just because I know nothing of the current lending situation does not make me an idiot when it comes to property. I've bought and sold many properties in my life and have made profit every time.

There are several properties near my house up for auction, price guides about 40-50k. What puts me off is, you really have to get a survey done, then you could be outbid, so wasting the survey money. Or do you mean go without a survey?

I think the problem is we are all struggling to understand what you do and do not know, you keep moving the goal posts! :p My inclination would be to view a couple of auction properties and then attend an auction WITHOUT buying so you can get a feel for the market. I would only go without a survey on a relatively new build/ conversion, and even then not if it is a Victorian property ... I don't ever see surveys as wasted money even if you pull out or get outbid!

Missile You seem to know your local rental market as a tennant.

NO I HAVE NEVER BEEN A TENANT. I BOUGHT MY FIRST PROPERTY AGE 18 AND HAVE BEEN AN OWNER OCCUPIER EVER SINCE. HAVE BEEN A LANDLADY LETTING TO TENANTS IN TWO PROPERTIES IN THIS TOWN 1995-2001 AND 1996-2006

How much research have you done on this as a business opportunity?

    ONLY JUST STARTED TODAY

By all means disregard the advice you have been given, but please note I and others have been there done that and we are sincere in our comments. :A

I LOVE SINCERITY BUT I REALLY HATE BEING TALKED DOWN TO AND I HATE BEING ABUSED

You ought been a bit more forthcoming in your first post, as you posted on the SingingPig forum ..........
I have been a landlady before.

I have not been talking down, nor have I been abusive to you. All I have done is offer what I thought was sound advice. I am not jealous :A

Why are you using screaming capitals in response to me? You saw fit to complain about this on SingingPig:confused:
I did post a similar question about my current plans on another forum. and everyone said DO NOT DO IT (usually in screaming capitals)

It's funny, Brock absolutely HATES anyone claiming Incapacity Benefit, yet he spits venom at me when I suggest a plan whereby I can be self supporting and stop claiming it. This is entirely illogical. Brock believes that a woman who was injured at work while performing a duty to the public, is not entitled to any state help at all, yet he insults and hates her also for attemtpting to come off that benefit!

It is a mystery why Brock continues to make an !!!!!! of himself by continuing to claim that my £60k savings came from "The Taxpayer" when I have explained time and time again that it came from buying selling and letting property. Clearly he is some kind of psychiatric patient, or should be.

His fantasy that a person can get £60k from IB is just amazing! Wow. He doesn't realise that IB is a set amount paid bi-weekly, he clearly thinks that all you have to do is ask for £60k and they just give it to you -- he clearly lives in a fantasy world!

I don't get any income support or anything else, just the IB. The IB I get is spent entirely on household bills.

Carry on trolling Brock, you are providing great entertainment for everyone on MSE. I am looking forward immensely to your next hilarious contribution......

Partly. But two-thirds of my income I earn myself.

Didn't you say you had no job and that was why the BS turned you down for a mortgage?

I am not EMPLOYED by anyone on a regular basis. Apart from letting a room in my house, I sell a pice of artwork now and again (and for this I am registered with the taxman as self employed) and this I earn money myself. But the building society isn't interested and cannot count it because it's sporadic and cannot be guaranteed. For example I earned £500 for one painting, then didn't get another commission for six months. (My "profession" is very overcrowded and evidently I am not very good at it!)

So when I tell the BS, I sell the odd painting now and again, they call that not having a job.

Hmm...she's being told the same at singing pig:

    http://www.singingpig.co.uk/forums/thread/934998.aspx

They must be all jealous! Also, she mentions a failed venture too!

I find it really strange she can be Miss Sweetness on that forum and spout venomous bile on here.

Whilst I don't think Bundly is blameless, I have reported Brock's last post as abuse.
