Buyers with no/low feedback

I have been a seller/buyer on Ebay for a couple of years now and I am getting really narked with buyers with no or low feedback not paying for goods. I recently sold an item for £25 and the winning bidder had 0 feedback even though he has been a member for 2 1/2 years. Anyway he didn't pay and ignored my polite emails. I then emailed him and said that i didn't believe he was a genuine buyer as he had not responded. He then actually emailed me back and said he wouldn't be paying for the goods as I had a bad attitude:mad::mad::mad:

Are poeple so sad that they get their kicks out of bidding with no intention to pay - it has happened to me 4 times this year and is really putting me off selling - they need to get a life!

  • Just open a unpaid item strike on day 4, then close it when you can (day 8??).

Don't let it bother you more than that ;)
This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine

I am a professional ebay seller. I work hard at my job, I love my job, if you think it's silly that's your problem not mine. :p

I agree with Turkish delight, don't let it bother me .....just remember we were all zero f/b once whenever you get a bid rather than immediately think they are out to cause trouble! (easier said than done I know!)
I always use the tactic of being overly polite - tongue in cheek of course.
eg. Thanks very much for bidding on my item. Please make payment when it is convenient and I will dispatch item . Best wishes xxxxx

Also don't keep nagging them with messages as it doesn't get you anywhere.
Just walk away after initial few then open dispute etc as soon as poss.

It still amazes me how rude people can be on ebay....some people think that just because you won't sell an item at the price they want- they can openly abuse you through messaging. ;)

Keep sane with them and don't lose your cool ;)

Sounds like you were sending a lot?
One invoice as a reminder Day3. Day 4 open a dispute. Get fees back relist. No point stressing about it

Oh and don't forget to set your seller rpeferences to exclude bidders with two or more strikes. That stops a lof of people bidding on mine on occasions.

Not practical, also under Distance selling regs buyers can cancel any purchase anyway made from a business seller.

How? It may form a contract but you try enforcing it
