All debt clear (scam or not)

Has anybody heard of 'all debt clear' I was handed a leaflet whilst shopping in Twickenham, it said they could clear credit card debt if the card was issued pre 2007 mine was, I duly paid a cheque and was told they would start court proceedings against them, I am beginning to think it may be a scam, any feedback on this subject would be appreciated.

A debt can be legally unenforceable through the courts, but the creditor would still be able to place a default on your credit files trashing your rating. As such, if you have not yet defaulted on your accounts then it is very ill advised.
As said, if you really want to investigate this then there is no need to pay a company a penny.
