internet explorer very slow to start

when i click on internet explorer it seems to take a long time to start up,was fine up until a few days ago,any suggestions on how this could be happening

Version IE8? Do you have any IE8 add-ons installed? They can often be a culprit.
I'd simply switch to Firefox.

Use CCleaner to clean up any unnecessary junk. Then do a scan with SuperAntiSpyware free or Malwarebytes Anti-Malware free, to see if you have any nasties. Why not try Firefox, IE was always causing crashes, but firefox is very good.

i believe it is IE8 don't know if i have any add ons installed,another thing i upgraded to kaspersky internet security 10,would that make a differernce?

That is possible; I would still switch to Firefox unless you have a legitimate reason to stick with IE8; I can't see any;)

I'd recommend you start working through the suggestions on this page and see if any rectify the issues you're experiencing.

Good choice. Don't forget to try some of the addons, such as BetterPrivacy, Noscript, and WOT. It makes using the internet a lot safer.
