just bin rejected!!!

just bin rejected for a sainsburys credit card, dont know why, any way i can check why?

will this effect my credit raiting, i was in a store a couple of weeks ago and they i nearly bought an item using there edge card but relised this would be a big mistake, so i cancled it before leaving the shop, he said he already put it through the systems but it would be fine to cancle, so would this affect my credit rating?

im very concered, as this leaves me with just GE left with 12 months interest free, any ideas?

does it also show up that i have been rejected?

best thing 2 do is get your credit file from a crdit reference company. Try
Experian. this will show you what credit agreements you have with anyone, and it will also show any credit that you've applied 4 . All credit lenders have
different ways of scoring people, for example, i have numerous credit cards,
my wages have been going into my partners bank account for 6-7 years , but the bank will still not let me open a joint account with my partner. Their COMPUTER SAYS NO!!!!!!!! And yet i get junk mail every week asking me 2 apply for more credit cards.

Well, not long ago I was rejected by Sainsbury's: I got my credit file and there was nothing wrong with it. I think they are just rather good at spotting people who are likely to cost them money, rather than pay them lots of interest and charges.
