Your table centre pieces look very classy...well done! I'm tempted to copy you!! They look especially pretty all lit up on the second photo. I would use table crystals too, although I would probably go for the plain/clear ones. Just personal preference though, and I'm sure it would also look lovely if you matched them to your colour sheme. Can I be nosey and ask what colours you are having?

now i need to ask you first!!

Everyone goes on about colour schemes, does this mean bridesmaids and all bridal party or just everything in general?

My bridesmaids are sage, i am ivory. The men are in family tartan and going to have a cravat to match the bridesmaids. The venue is going to be just as plain as possible were not doing chair covers ( think it looks nicer but refuse to pay that sort of money!!) i get so confused with all this colour scheme stuff:o

My mirror plates were from home bargains 99p each and the t- light holders and t-lights from ikea. The small holders are 1.99 for a pack of 12 and the larger one in the middle was 39p. the t - lights were £1.69 for a pack of 100 and i got 2 as they have a burn time of 4 hours so will be replaced for the evening guests. Could have probably got away with just 100 but at that price they wont go to waste!!!:rotfl:

  • Oooh the sage/ivory/tartan combo sounds great. I don't have much of a clue yet when it comes to colours either! I thought picking a colour scheme would be really easy! :o

I'll be in a white dress, flowers are pink, orange and yellow gerberas but I have no clue what so ever what colour to put the bridesmaids in or what colour cravats to have or anything like that.
  • They are lovely. I would add some silk rose petals, I got mine from Ebay and they were really cheap. Maybe some crystal confetti aswell, there's a link on the ebay sellers thread XX

lovely little centerpieces, i think for me what is missing is colour, think a little bit of colour would make it perfect, and i would say either petals just around rim of plate or crystals scattered on the plate.

i was thinking the same then i was not sure if petals or sonething sparkly!!

Sparkly I would suggest - table confetti is cheaper than fresh flowers / false petals, there are loads of styles available and shouldn't get in the way of the food an drink. You could also try sparkly sequins. All freely availale from poundshops so it won't cost a fortune to ring the changes. :T

You really need to go for a colour that suits all your bridesmaids and of course what your hubbie to be feels comfy in wearing

We decided on our colours way before I got my dress which is apparently a BIG no
I don't see the big deal unless you decide on a coloured dressw hich won't match but I knew I didn't want something like that

OH decided he wanted to wear a brown suit instead of black so we were sorted

Our colours are Brown, orange and gold :D and me in ivory

I agree with Tigerlilley, it needs some colour and rose petals or anything like that, that will add a bit of colour :D
We're having leaves instead of rose petals because they are more inkeeping with our colours and theme (Brown, orange and gold and we're getting married in Autumn)

me ivory, bridesmaids are in sage and the men are in kilts.

This is the outfit they have chosen http://www.slanjkilts.com/Kilts-and-Highlandwear/Full-Kilt-Outfits/07-Black-Wool-Holyrood-Kilt-Outfit.html
family tartan:http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=http://www.clancolquhounsociety.co.uk/assets/images/ancient%2520colquhoun%2520tartan.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.clancolquhounsociety.co.uk/clantartans.htm&h=496&w=531&sz=138&tbnid=mDzqXY-bk85vNM:&tbnh=123&tbnw=132&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dcolquhoun%2Btartan&hl=en&usg=__T1c-2e2eemCXv8yYgcdVl5Ml9KY=&ei=QVESS7aTGdq5jAealOzgAw&sa=X&oi=image_result&resnum=2&ct=image&ved=0CBUQ9QEwAQ (2nd one down modern tartan)
the cravat we will be getting either one similar colour to bridesmaids or get the dress maker to make couple cravats in the same fabric.

the venue provides table cloths and napkins as standard but chair covers are £4 each!! it does look a better with them but i really can justify the price for the seat covers.

I ordered some of the crystals last night, not the proper glass ones just imitation if i dont like them will just bob them back on ebay!!

I think rose petals around would be fab or something similar.

We have decided on thistles for the button holes and i am having some thistles in my bouquet.
were not having favours at all now so the table may be seem a little bare! I am happy to spend a bit more on the centerpieces just not the £15 min a table most places are asking for!

thanks to everyone for all feedback so far its been great:T

thought i would update this, i was going with 4 outer votives and one inner until you suggested this. :) I have 3 outers and 1 inner and my table crystals came today so heres the pics so far. I think i will use your idea of the thistles and we also going to get some tartan ribbon for the botton of the middle votive :)
