I would really appreciate some help here. I have some lovely crystal cupboard knobs with a long screw in them which I wanted to give to my to my daughter. Unfortunately, the screws have been glued in and these screw poles are too short for her cupboard doors. Does anyone know how to remove the glue so we can buy longer screws and replace them with ones which will go through these other doors? Thanks so much.

Have you tried to warm it gently? Some glues often become soft again when heat is applied.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0

Depending on how short the screws are, it might be feasible to counter-bore the back of the door and recess the nut. Obviously the screw would have to go though a solid part of the door. You might well have trouble getting the screws out as it could be that they were moulded into the handle during manufacture.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0
