leaking mixer tap

we have a leaking mixer tap i have took the spout off to replace o rings been to the local b&q and plumb centre but unable to get the correct size :mad: tried the closest match but tap still leaking 2 questions if anybody can help can i use something else instead of the o rings ? but also on the tap is a white plastic circlip would this have to be replaced ? thanks in advance :T

    Quite a few swivel mixer spouts have D rings in them instead of O rings, allways a nuisance to replace. If you know the tap manufacturers you could try them for replacements.

    You might be better off taking it to an engineering suppliers. We have one in my town and they sell all kinds of O Rings in all kinds of sizes.
    Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.
