Ross and Davis/DM Designs Glasgow

Please excuse my little rant. Unsolicited sales calls are one of my pet hates and I want to warn everyone about this company.
I just received my 3rd phonecall from Ross and Davis (AKA DM Designs from Glasgow) telling me I'd won a £1000 voucher off a new kitchen.
What's wrong with that? Let me tell you.
Firstly I'm on the telephone preference service so they shouldn't be calling at all (and it IS a sales call because you have to buy something from them to get your £1000)
Secondly I have already told them TWICE that I am on the TPS. The first time they called I told them this and asked to speak to the supervisor and they hung up. The second time I told them this they said "If people tell us they are on the TPS then we offer to remove them from the list" which is illegal as they should check the list BEFORE calling. I against asked to speak to the supervisor and asked for a contact number and address but I was given a false address. I found this out when I reported them to the TPS but they had not been able to ascertain valid contact and/or address details to raise this particular complaint.
The third time they called I played nice. I asked about the company was told they are actually DM Designs from Glasgow. I played along and said I was interested but I refused to give my postcode. I let slip that I was chronically ill and on benefits and the caller couldn't hang up fast enough!
I have now found the correct contact details for the firm and I have emailied them to let them know I shall be reporting them to the ICO for breaking the law. I just wish they would respect the TPS calling list and stop calling me, I'm in the middle of an arthritis flare up and I don't want to waste my energy and make the pain worse by dealing with sales call I don't want.
Rant over!

I had a bad experience around 2005 with DM Design (Cumbernauld). We were looking for a new kitchen, and as this shop was local to us, we invited one of their designers round to make a plan / measure up our kitchen, no strings attached and all that. Before doing his thing, he wanted to take us through some standard paperwork (he claimed), including some forms that we needed to sign to run a credit check (despite us telling him we'd pay for this from savings, and didn't need or want a loan).
A week later, we received a series of letters from Firstplus loans stating that our loan application for our new kitchen had been approved. Turns out the salesman had applied for the loan on our behalf, using the signatures from the paperwork we'd signed.
After alerting DM Design they were very apologetic, head of sales came round to assure us the issue was dealt with, promising to get back in touch in a months time to give us a substantially discounted kitchen offer. Never heard from them again, we had to deal with Firstplus ourselves to get the fraudulent loan cancelled etc.
Needless to say we got our kitchen elsewhere.0
