They are still around, Comet sell their microwaves and you get their tv's on Amazon etc.
I think they nearly gave up when their main factory was destroyed by an earthquake a few years ago.0 -
Thanks for thyat geewhiz. It's the telly's I'm Interested in. I have 3 Sanyo products at the moment had them for years with no problem.0

I understand why you like the brand
But I would seriously suggest against buying a sanyo tv ~ the quality is awful:idea:0 -
That surprises me. I at present have had the same Sanyo tv for about 9 years now. I know everyone has flat screen now:D but this Sanyo t.v still has an excelent picture and has never broke down. I also still have a vhs Sanyo vid about 15 years old never been to the repair shop as well as a midi system.
Maybe their products are like many products now a days cut backs on quality etc. Thanks for the info thou0 -
Their projectors are reasonably good...Ubuntu is an ancient African word, meaning: 'I can't configure Debian'.0

We're on slightly crossed wires
I was talking about picture quality, your clearly talking about longevity
If your after a HDTV (I would assume you are), then you really need to start looking at picture quality as theyre bigger than normal and work differently to CRT tvs. Any drop in quality will be EASILY noticeable
Still, if you do get one please post back here as im intrigued as to what you think of it

Could be some time yet. Depends on how long this one keeps going. As i said the picture on this is very good but i suppose when i do get another i may notice the diffrence.
Having said that my central heating has just gone off, so I'm waiting for the repair man our fridge frezzer went last month so if they come in three's I'm waiting for the third thing now.:eek:0
