Hi,
in a word yes it is, but you would need to replace the double glazed glass, that would be pricey and it would look pants too, I know it can be done but I've never done it as it's such an inefficient way to do it.
I'm assuming you havn't got any 'spare wall' to do a core drill through.
can you fit a fan in the cieling and vent it to the outside? this will depend on which way the joists run though.

Thanks DD, I got a fan for window mounting yesterday, before I go any further with this, you say 'inefficient way' of doing it, will it not do the job tidy? Paul.:cool:0

as stated you can fit the fan into the double glazed unit but the existing unit will need to come out - have the hole cut in it - rebonded and then regassed so it would be far cheaper to go through the wallYou may click thanks if you found my advice useful0

Thanks Mucky, the reason I don't wanna go through the wall is I haven't long had my cavity wall filled with millions of them polystyrene balls, so don't wanna disturb them.
I'm a bit stuck I think, may have to call a pro!:cool:0 -
Hi Sar,
Mucky is indeed spot on
It is relatively easy though if you are prepared to go through the wall.
Basically you core drill through the wall, once you break through to the outside, don't pull the drill back immediately, and when you DO pull the drill back have someone on the other side sliding the cavity liner tube through. It can be done it is a pain though ;-)
hope it makes sense
good luck
