Scottish Trust Deed

Hi Everyone,

I entered into a Protected Scottish Trust Deed in October 2008 and so far have been making the agreed payments on time.

Unfortunately I am now struggling to make my repayments and pay all my other bills due to a compulsive gambling problem I have. I'm off work at the moment as I simply cannot face members of the public at the moment due to the amount of stress, worry and anxiety I'm suffering from.

I'm going to the doctors on Tuesday and also have a counselling session the same day, to try and address my problems.

I've incurred more debt since signing the trust deed in October 2008 and was wondering if anyone can give me any advice as to the best course of action.

I'm also going to speak to my Trustee on Monday morning and explain whats happened.

I've dealt with the equity in my house at the beginning of the trust deed and this has been paid to the trust deed account. I'm thinking if its maybe worth petitioning for sequestration due to the extra debts i've incurred?

Any thoughts appreciated.
