Outdoor Sauna

Need some advice please, I am thinking about buying a sauna and I have seen a nice one on the b&q website for £1200 I was wondering if you could just build this outside or do you get indoor as well as outdoor ones?
Or can you get self build ones for a maximum of £1500, I was also thinking of maybe buying a shed type thing and maybe putting the sauna inside this if this is possible.
Cheers for any replies

This question reminded me of the episode of Men Behaving Badly, when they built a sauna in the shed ;DIf only everything in life was as reliable...AS ME !!

I wouldn't build a sauna inside because they do have to get hot, and they generate an awful lot of damp air, so you will get condensation problems. Unless you're going for a 'dry' infrared sauna of which I have no experience.
One I've used in someone's secluded back garden had the sauna in one 'shed', and a separate shower block with loo, connected by decking. So you could slip from one to the other au naturel, or even run round the garden in the rain to cool off. You do need both, ie shower and sauna, since we don't reliably have snow to roll in. Unless you want to build an icy plunge pool as well?
I'm presuming you are a real sauna enthusiast so you know already that you need to get really cold between your sessions in the sauna, though!Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
Have just remembered the people who built a sauna in a Saab, which is NOT a joke, and worth a look!Signature removed for peace of mind0

cheers for the replies, maybe i never made myself clear enough.
i dont know anything about saunas apart from they get hot inside
what i am looking for is an outdoor sauna, defo not indoor. i have a big enough garden to accomadate this, what i was wondering is can you put a sauna out itself or would it need to be housed in another stucture, ie shed or an outbuilding?
i dont need a shower bit as i stay n glasgow ;D
cheers

DO NOT BUY A SAUNA UNLESS YOU KNOW THEY LIKE THEM!
They are a bit of a love/hate thing!
pm me if you want to know more: t'other half is an aficianado!Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
Don't bother with an infrared sauna. I love normal saunas and was most disappointed when my gym installed infrared ones as an "upgrade" - it sucked. Strangely enough...I let my membership lapse as a sauna after a workout was the "treat" at the end of something nasty.0
