shiny stainless steel sink?

I'm not so sure about the whole bleach and scrubbing suggestions. Bleach will 'etch' a surface like stainless steel, ie, remove the surface a little and make it a bit more porous. That means that there are more little holes and scratches for dirt to get caught in in the future so it will get duller and duller.
If you do use bleach, rinse it off very quickly. There isn't a lot that washing up liquid won't get off and then the baby oil or equivalent solution is what I use - it will build up a layer to prevent further dulling.0 -
Bar Keepers friend or ShinySinks are by far the best products to use. Bleach can damage the coating on your chrome waste fittings/tap but wont actually do anything to the sink itself.0

My near neighbour gave me the tip. "Baby Oil" (and cheaper the better!!!)
I use "Tesco Value" Baby Oil and it gives my sink (mainly draining board) a shine!!!
I don't know why BUT it works!!!!!0
