Oh GOd they are still talking about tv.

In my head I am now rocking in the corner.

  • I talk about tv, I love tv. but this conversation just revolves around whats on when. its not even a what do you think happens next thing. or wasn't such and such good

Its nearly 6.30. I have stuff to do people.

Woohoo, just signed up for my next OU course, Economics and Economic Change. Just hope I'm allowed to do it, cos there's a bit of an overlap between the one I'm doing now finishing and the new one starting. Now I need to go change my clubcard points to OU vouchers to help pay for it.

Yoghurt makers are normally to be found on freecycle...but you can use a thermos flask too....there's a bit thread on it on the OS board, loads of tips.

Shopping budgets, I shop weekly and including delivery it has to be under £60. We eat more veg than fruit which always works out cheaper, lots of frozen veg too and I pad nearly everything out with mixed beans that I buy individual packets of (one a week) then soak and cook/freeze a huge pot of each month. I go to the butchers once a month and spend around £20 - that comes out of the £60 weekly budget too. (the £60 included all toiletries/cleaning/pet foods too)

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.

Blimey Z you are the font today. Thank you so much. Im going to give it a go, will pick up some live yog and UHT next time I go to tesco

If you wanted to make a flavour then say strawberry what would you add in to make it strawberry (yes I know strawberries) but would you use jam, puree,??

    Humph - thought I was the font:rotfl:

I macerate finely chopped strawberries in a touch of sugar until a syrup forms and spoon it into the yog when I want it.

I also soften plums/blueberries/peaches/rasps/apples etc in a touch of water then puree. A tablespoon in a portion of yoghurt is lush! YOu canfreeze the balance and it makes expensive soft fruit go further without restricting healthy eating;)

It can also be nice to put in chopped nuts/seeds for different textures

Right, so even if I only take a handbag I've got to pay an extra £30? That's pants!

Linda, I did. There were big signs saying closing down sale, everything must go, 50% off, but actually everything was 20% off, so it was still dearer than Amazon, even for things that only have a small discount on Amazon. I'd filled a basket full before I realised that. So better to stay at home nice and warm and have them brought to you! The assistant did say that some things were stickered with 50% off, but I couldn't find any.

I'm going into town tomorrow so I'll have another look when it's not packed. They were taking down the 20% off posters, so maybe the discounts will get better.
