  • Sounds fab Toto. Quiete jealous.

Borders in administration? Another victory for the supermarkets. I did well to last as long as I did.

    Sandwiches all made. Bored now.

thats for 3 fillings! we don't have a NHS dentist....

My mother is going to Goa on Monday for two weeks to have veneers done over there...apparently its cheaper to fly to Goa and have them done there than it is to have them done here.....:rotfl:

Well thats what she tells me...:rotfl:

Sammy, have PM'd you, please make sure your Ma has read the following guidance for obtaining dental treatment abroad from the General Dental Council!!!!!

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

Hi guys, mum and dad are back from their holiday and have the milk monster/piccolina for an hour. I'm SUPPOSED to be doing my housework but the lure of MSE was too great to ignore and voila - here I am.

Toto - glad the placement is going well and that you're having such good fun! I met a retired midwife yesterday (at baby clinic) and she was telling me that she'd kept in touch with her first baby to the extent that he was invited to her retirement do last year as one of her guests of honour!

Ames - so tempted by the borders administration to see if they've any bargains but I really can't be arrised going into town... although better to go this weekend as first bus are planning industrial action for the next three Saturdays (4th, 11th and 18th December) in Leeds and I don't fancy trying to get pushchair on and off a train!

pap - if you're lurking / on later, I downloaded roboform and was able to enter half a dozen comps really quickly yesterday so thanks for the heads up aobut it.

hugs to everyone (whether or not you need or want them)

I'll certainly never forget my first. Although it wasn't ideal for the mum (she had a retained placenta, PP bleed, 2nd degree tear, prolapsed cervix) it was amazing for me because I got so much from experiencing those complications) The surgeon came in and taught me how to repair, he did it so well I feel totally able to have a go next time, in fact half way through I wanted to shove him out of the way so I could get sewing :)

It isn't the same as my old job, but, it was nice to get that adrenalin rush again. I feel less sad about moving on from music now.

hi all - well, here goes for the next few days of nightmare

    Saturday/Sunday list to do

    [STRIKE]Do all the washing[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]General wipeover of kitchen[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]
    wash up/dry each day
    [/STRIKE][STRIKE]clean cooker top[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]
    ironing
    [/STRIKE][STRIKE]dust and hoover hall[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]dust and hoover living room[/STRIKE]
    clean toilet
    clean bathroom
    [STRIKE]sweep kitchen floor[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]mop kitchen floor[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]bleach kitchen sink[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]dust and hoover spare room[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]clean bathroom and toilet floors[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]dust and hoover bedroom[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]wrap family xmas presents[/STRIKE]
shop for ingredients for Mon/Tue class
Batch cook for Mon and Tue
    Sort teaching folders
Find and cook a Hannukah related snack to take to Monday class
    [STRIKE]
    Put rubbish out
    [/STRIKE]Clean insides of windows

There's loads of other stuff I should do - clean cooker hood for instance, but I'm going to do wjust hat needs doing before Monday starts! Mum and Dad arrive late Tuesday and I'll probably be out teaching when they get here so everything needs doing now because as soon as I wake up Monday morning there's no time for anything until I wake up Wednesday morning!

    lunchtime list update. Sigh.

Big shop has arrived from Asda so that's all put away.

I'll probably either do potato cakes or little doughnuts for the Hannukah bit of class. From what I've already read up, the frying is part of the symbolising of the oil used which burns the candles for each day.

    Afternoon all

Busy saturday morning as normal here, whip around the house to tidy up, washing on, swimming, piano lesson and now I have to trapse to Yeovil to get DD some sparkly black tights as her role as the "star" in school nativity! Also need to go to the dreaded Tesco as the cupboards are bare :( but have no money apart from the small amount of savings I now have left..seems to be going down and down and with no prospect of replacing it feeling a bit  and sick about it all.

Toto I am so pleased you are enjoying uni/course/hospital, I truely believe you will make an excellent Midwife
BB that list is def too long for doing this weekend...when's your next holiday?

My HD quidco was also refused but im not too bothered as I got free diamond charm for nothing.
I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....

BB - I felt like I'd achieved something for getting up, having a shower, getting dressed, giving (little pickle) piccolina her breakfast, and then washing pots & pans, sweeping kitchen floor, vacuuming living room floor, dusting fireplace in living room before collapsing on sofa! Your list makes me feel liek i should move my bootie and do some more housework.

Hope you get your list done.
