Shower Pump

Options
hey everyone, we moved into a new house and the water pressure is terrible, so I need to put a shower pump in. We have a normal gas heated boiler (not combi) and the people we bouth off said that we need to put a pump in the loft.

Any ideas on the best place to get one and what I need to look out for.

Many thanks

Best place for a pump is at the base of the hot water cylinder as opposed to the loft.

Things to consider, you'll need at least a 50 gallon cold water tank, you'll need a high capacity or quick recovery hot water cylinder, or you'll find after one shower there's no hot water.

I'f you're looking for a pump alone, Stuart Turner is the make to go for, quality and longevity, basically value for money.

If you're considering changing the shower valve, then look at an Aqualisa Quartz pumped unit, very simple to install and has the pump built into it.

Just fitted one of the quiet pumps from Screwfix direct, into the in laws house. This is just for the shower but is the quietest i have fitted and was about £145. All instructions come withit and if you are half reasonable as a plumber its a do it your self job.
I save so I can spend.
