WARNING - Stoozing & Switching Current Account

Just a quick note to warn those regarding potential adverse credit reports. You amy already be aware and managing yourselves better than me.

I started stoozing very recently and in the last 3 months have applied for 3 cards and an Egg Money account. I have recently experienced problems with my own bank, HSBC, who I have been with for 18 years. I have always been a model customer but the one time I have a problem it takes me nearly 2 weeks to speak to someone at my branch. Anyway, I decided to switch to Barclays and applied on Friday. I didn't even consider my recent applications would count against me as I have a perfect current account history. Basically I am still waiting to hear if I have been accepted. Just a word of warning to anyone who may consider doing the same. I will let you know how things work out.

What exactly are you saying is the problem? You say you have recently experienced problems with your long-time bank, but don't give details of precisely what they are!

I would have thought problems might arise if you're applying for or using credit within your current account, in the form of an overdraft. I don't know of any other way stoozing would affect current accounts.

Someone with more knowledge will fill in the gaps, i'm sure.

Apologies. I didn't explain the situation fully.

The problem with HSBC is not connected with stoozing. Due to other unrelated matters with their overseas call centre. Basically, I've had enough and decided to switch to Barclays. The problem arose when they carried out their own credit checks which flagged up my recent activity. I came clean as to what I was doing and now Barclays have given the all clear to proceed with transferring my current account.
